Bussningar

As guidance and support between two surfaces – for example shaft and bearing housing – some form of bearing is used, usually ball bearings or plain bearings. The advantage of plain bearings, which are often also called bushings, is that they can withstand much higher loads, shocks and vibrations. Some form of lubrication must always be used, either in the form of additional lubrication or in a self-lubricating version. If designed correctly, there will be no contact between the material surfaces themselves, which results in minimal friction at normal speed.
